Huron County and none of its local units are dues paying member of EMCOG.

 

Huron County is located at the very tip of Michigan’s Thumb. It is primarily agricultural, with 82% of land cover in agriculture. It is the top ranked producer for many crops and agricultural products including, dry beans, corn, sugar beets and dairy products. There are also several resort tourist-orientated towns along the Lake Huron shores. It is home to Sleeper and Port Crescent State Parks, a state wildlife area and two game areas that attract many visitors. M-25 loops around the Lake Huron shore. Other highways are M-19, M-142 and M-53.
