PRI-5 Regional Prosperity Strategy PlanThe Regional Prosperity Initiative requires development of a five year Regional Prosperity Plan to include strategies on collaboration, community and economic development, workforce development and adult education. The contents of the plan are to be defined individually by each of the States ten Prosperity Regions.

2014: EMCOG contracted with TIP Strategies, Inc. of Austin, Texas to prepare a Regional Prosperity Strategy Plan, Implementation Matrix and Dashboard. The plan was approved by the Strategic Management Team, (the collaborative in December of 2014, after input from nearly 300 stakeholders across the region.  The plan presents a shared regional vision, a set of goals, and specific strategies to accelerate the region’s economic success.  It provides a roadmap for East Central Michigan’s economic development program, but the ultimate success of the recommendations will depend on the level of commitment from the region’s business and community leaders in executing the strategies laid out in the plan.

2015: The Strategic Management Team identified their priority strategy for 2015 – the creation of a Center of Excellence Action Strategy.  This project will be completed by January 31, 2015.
